Passengers should arrive at the airport where flights are done by Star Tours at the allocated time. If you are doing your own flights, then you will need to meet the tour rep directly at the arrival terminal at the destination.

You will be sent an ATOL certificate if your flights are done with Star Tours.

Your flights will be confirmed by our agent with you 24 hours prior to departure.

You should always follow the protocol for flights as set out by the airline. You should check the board at the airport for any flight delays, change of gate number or any other useful information provided by the airline.

Itnerary


DAY 1: LONDON – BERLIN
Arrive at Berlin airport by a short scheduled flight from London and depart for Berlin city. On arrival, be greeted by a local professional guide, on the tour see the main sights of the capital city, Brandenburg Gate, TV tower and the parliament buildings. L, D
DAY 2: BERLIN – KRAKOW
Depart for the drive south across former Eastern Germany to Poland. Left relatively untouched after World War II, Krakow is jam-packed with monuments and cultural treasures like turn-of-the-century buildings, museums, an impressive castle and the Jewish Quarter. Walk around the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill, once the spiritual and political heart of the country, the site is now filled with tombs, chapels. Visit the massive Market Square – the buzzing heart of Poland’s oldest university town. Learn about the medieval design of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed centre, which serves up a mix of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. B, D
DAY 3: KRAKOW - AUSCHWITZ – PRAGUE
This morning, we make a sobering stop at Auschwitz, the most infamous former Nazi concentration camp, where you will learn about one of history’s darkest moments. Visit what is left of the concentration camp, a chilling reminder of the Holocaust and the most notorious among the World War II concentration camps. We then proceed over the border and into the Czech Republic and to Prague, a beautiful and atmospheric city. B, D
DAY 4: PRAGUE
The city itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with a jumble of little lanes, alleys and courtyards. On the city tour, we will see the main sights, including the old Town Square, Prague castle and Charles bridge which crosses the Vltava River. Later, you have time to shop for the famous Bohemian glass, beads or garnet and amber jewellery. In the evening enjoy a local folklore shown with dinner and unlimited wine/ beer or soft drink. DAY 5: PRAGUE – VIENNA
Depart for Austria and to visit Vienna. On arrival in Vienna, the local guide, will introduce you to the city’s historical heritage and main sights. There’s the imperial grandeur of Schönbrunn Palace, the elegantly ornate State Opera House and St. Stephen’s Cathedral – a Gothic masterpiece. In the evening enjoy the famous Gypsy show with dinner and unlimited drinks, followed by a complimentary night tour of this amazing city. Note:you will have continental dinner on this day B, CD
DAY 6: VIENNA - BRATISLAVA – BUDAPEST
In the morning visit Schönbrunn Palace which is a former imperial residence; the 1,441-room Baroque palace is one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historical monuments in the country. Later drive to Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. This compact, user-friendly old town and check out its medieval castle. Here enjoy free time at to explore the town. After continue onto the “Paris of the East”, Budapest. With two cities rolled into one, this exotic town has a bit of everything. Buda and Pest sit on different sides of the river, but bring together the stunning buildings and atmosphere that make Budapest so romantic. On arrival enjoy an evening dinner. B, D
DAY 7: BUDAPEST – LONDON
Get an in-depth insight into Budapest on a sightseeing tour with the local guide this morning. On the Buda side of the river, from the Fisherman’s Bastion, you’ll get a full-blown view of the city and learn about Budapest’s history. Check out the colourful Church of St. Matthias, the Royal Palace and the Chain Bridge and the Liberation Monument. Later depart for the airport for your return flight to London. Note: On occasions, due to large events, traffic, logistics and availability of reservations, it may be necessary to change/reverse the above itinerary. However all aspects of the itinerary will be covered. Also Auschwitz may be closed due to unforseen events and therefore this will be replaced by Salt Mines in Krakow.
